for the past four days that my gut is sore from coughing. I'm hardly ever sick and don't feel sick from this but I just can cough it up to get rid of it. I hope none of you guys come down with it. It would kill an ordinary man. frown

Take your temp Mickey. If you are running any fever at all, you need to get to a med-stop and get a Z-pack.

Think I might have the same bug...

I'm over the worst of it, but CANNOT get rid of the stuff in my throat to cough up...seems like it's cemented onto something...

Cough so hard trying to get rid of it, think my lungs are gonna dislodge...

Not running a temp as far as I can tell.

Im just getting over it after a three week bout. I never really felt to bad just really congested in the morning and dry couching late in the afternoon and evening. Once I got the crap out my lungs in the morning I was functional. I never hacked up so much crap out of my chest and blow so much snot out of my nose in my life. I drank hot coffee in the morning and took musinex dm and advil steady. I picked it up from my cousin in ohio on a hunting trip. He had it for about three weeks as well.

Mickey, my stomach feels like I've been doing crunches for a week from coughing!
I think the worst is over. Feeling a little better. Took the pup for a short walk in the pasture a minute ago.

i've had it for about a month. serious green sludge. coughing has slacked off but for a while i would get into coughing fits where i would almost pass out and nothing would come up. but occasionally i can work up a lunger that would down a rhino. just ask the guy tailgating me this morning.

Haven't really coughed up a lot of stuff. But the coughing does hurt. Had this same stuff beginning of the month hunting in south Texas. Ate a bunch of pickled garlic and drank a pretty good bit of bourbon and got to feeling better then too!

Try putting BenGay on your chest it helps to loosen the flem so you can get it out easier.

Works a lot better than Vicks or any of the other crap out there.

Speedy healing to you sir.

Thanks, I'll give that a try. I'll have wear a T shirt because I always sleep in the raw but I'll give it a shot.

What was it that you were suggesting putting Vicks Vaporub on your feet for a few years ago? I thought it was for congestion, but maybe I'm missremembering.

No, wasn't me but now that you mention I do remember that thread. Vicks is some wonderful stuff that you seldom hear about these days. My son is bringing me a jar in a little bit.
