The only movie I liked good enough to watch it again a few years later was "North to Alaska."

The Mayans had it right. If youre going to predict the future, its best to aim far beyond your life expectancy, lest you wind up red-faced in a bunker overstocked with Spam and ammo.

"Open Range"

I enjoyed watching the growing relationship between Charley Waite (Kevin Costner) and Sue (Annette Bening).

Charley has a violent past and has given up on ever settling down and having a family. Sue is a middle-age spinster who dreams about finding her shining knight, but realizes assisting her brother in his medical practice is her destined path.

Charley and Sue's affection for each other develops into true love during the course of the movie. They have good chemistry together.

My favorite part is near the movie's end when Charley is leaving and tells Sue to return to town. Sue hesitates and Charley says, "How's this (marriage) gonna work if you don't do what I say?" Sue just gives him a little smile and heads back to town.

It touched my heart, and has never left, I own it, and I will watch it again this weekend, and again there will be tears. It truly takes your breath away....

It's a toss-up between "Harold & Maude" and "Eraserhead".

I've got to go with Open Range too. Closest I could come to a love story I could come. Wish I was fast enough to say "ours". Just don't have a romantic flair.

With all due respect, I do not understand why women like the movies that make them cry.......but if ya hold their hand, kiss them on the cheek, that hole in the bottom of the popcorn bucket comes in handy.......

I don't really like "chick flicks" or "tear jerkers", but in this instance, I will say, that it is cleansing for the soul.
