Blackdog I had a Marlin 922M semi auto 22 mag that I thought was a good enough rifle. I did end up selling it due to the protruding magazine on the bottom right where I wanted to carry it, but otherwise it was accurate and reliable. Just passing along info for your search. I like the brno too but have never owned one.

These are becoming so increasingly rare and valuable that prices have about tripled in the last 5 years.

Try and get a 611 vs 611A but either should work.

SShooterZ brings up a good point. Personally, I'd hold out for the 611. The 611a has too many cost saving shortcuts IMHO.

Mags are rare too, but I see there is a guy in Slovakia? on Youtube that is selling them.

I had one and sold it like a fool (had to have something else)... it was a 611 and the workmanship in the ung was outstanding. Mags are stupid expensive but it sure was a great gun.

Get him a computer also and set it up for him.

If you're still looking for a BRNO ZKM 611, I have one for sale. I purchased it new about 20 years ago and it has about 500 rounds through it. It is in excellent shape. It comes with one 6 round magazine and a set of Millett scope mounts that are made for the rifle. I also have the original box, manual and factory proof target. I am asking $1,200 for the rifle. I also have an additional two 6 round magazines that I am willing to sell for $150.
