Well, we were in Homer and went to "the" raven talk by Bernd Hinrich, but these are not related to the festival at all...






Mighty prehistoric looking! Wish the junk had not been in the background...


Watched these guys for several hours on Saturday and saw them doing the wild thing... Did not catch it on electrons...
Guess they deserve some privacy!

Nice. The second one looks like a sandhill crane. They are all over the place around Fairbanks and North Pole at this time of the year.

The weather was so awful, taking pictures was a challenge. It rained or snowed pretty much the whole weekend. I did take a couple of pictures of the same cranes (they are so cool)





And I was able to sit in the car and take some pictures of some eagles. Even in the car the wind was blowing in the rain.
