Looking for a good/dedicated predator hunting forum on line.

I can give you a heads up about a bad one, which will be recommended no doubt. Predator Masters looks good at first but they consistently run off the most knowledgeable predator hunters and have for years. It has a lot of good people but is characterized by newbies, wannabes and people selling something. It is controlled by manipulative dishonest money grubbers. You will have to sift through a lot of nonsense to get good info there.

Example? I posted a civil query asking the moderators there a question about what appeared to be a conflict of interest. In a follow up post, someone mocked my question and called me a molester of altar boys.

They made him a moderator and warned me to shut up.

I realized that they preferred his kind to mine.

There are some pretty good predator hunters here. Predator Professionals is a small but highly knowledgeable forum. There are several other predator forums that are larger but I already spend too much time on the internet so haven't checked them out much.

Sounds like this place, or the way its heading, from what I've seen. Same guys arguing but with these monster post counts, do they have time to shoot all these guns they claim to own?

Not really..There is no heavy handed moderation here..You are free to cut your own throat tho...

PM sounds like a lot like Trapperman forums, some good trapers there but most are window lickers or product pimps.

You will enjoy some posts and pics over there, just beware of the undertow at the site leadership and advertiser level. It won't show at first, and then if it does they make the dissidents look like the bad guys the first time you notice controversy. The second time you see the pattern you begin to realize it is merely straight shooters calling a spade that are getting drummed out.

This isn't what you requested in your query, but you are a decent man and my bias may help you have your eyes open. Never trust anyone in leadership nor any major advertisers over there.

Would still like to have that coffee some time. I keep hoping to make a winter safari for several days in northern BC purely for calling wolves and lynx but weather and work has conspired against me so far this winter.

I was a member of Predator Master for a long time ,but it is run by a bunch of Obama ass kissers and I was banned because of my views on Obama . I believe some Liberal Dickhead from Canada called Redfrog runs it and he and his moderators where for Obama all the way during the first election. They sent me email and told me i couldn't say anything about Obama and if i did i was a racist and would be banned , so i sent them email and told them to go Puck themselves with Obama Dick .

Re heavy handed moderators.

At PMS the top people running the site have:

-- set posters up to be banned,
-- selectively erased posts that make them or their cronies look bad,
-- selectively edited threads to make their critics look bad,
-- banned many of the best coyote photographers and callers along with anyone who questions them.

I've heard that they check other forums and ban people who say anything on any site that they don't like. I hung out at the place for several years and watched the soap opera. Will be interesting to see if they ban me for my posts in this thread.


As said, Rick gives us a lot of leeway here and I've not seen anything underhanded.

I don't like many of the 'regulars' at PM.

Bunch of dickheads IMO.

I joined PM a short while back to see what it was about. I haven't run into any real issues over there other than what I would call a very cold shoulder. They don't seem too welcoming.

FWIW,,,, you guys who are justifiably bashing PM should be aware that there's a member here who used to be a mod over there that another forum member and I busted red handed reading our pm's.
They deny that they have access to pm's but don't believe it for a minute.

NPHA's pretty good but it's a clique.
Not unlike this place but on a smaller scale.
It's the nature of the internet eah.

PM is as crooked as it gets and FieldGrade is spot on about the mods reading PM's between members.

I was a member for a few years until all the BS pushed me out the door. Not to mention, they had a knack for banning anyone who knew anything.

Wow! Sounds like another over moderated forum I visit. Huntingwashington has the same reputation of mods reading personal messages.. Pricks

Yea Lonny,,,, I've discussed a few things with you years ago over there. It wasn't bad before that Frog got his greedy little fat fingers on the controls. Ain't been worth a chit since the purge in 09 but I still have some good friends over there so I look in.
The inconsistent mods along with all the posers make it hard to take PM very serious though.

There are some knowledgeable people on Predator Masters but for the most part they are blow hard rookies.

They never banned me, but I think they wanted to. The owner/guy-in-charge would send me PM's saying that I have been "noticed" WTF that means. I told him everything I post when answering questions or asking questions was based on experience and he should worry more about the morons on his website instead of me.

The last couple threads I read on that POS site were so laughable I never went back.

I'd put the knowledge and experience on this website up against any other.

I think that was about the time I bailed over there.

Lies and deceit were the norm for that place and they worked hard to cover their tracks. It was a real soap opera with all the backstabbing, people getting the boot (even moderators who dared object) and people selling crap by building a false internet reputation, that the place lost all credibility and turned into a complete joke.

It's also pretty stunning the numbers of "Predator Masters" that won't put up fur, or even tube them out.
