I've seen a number of photos of water heater explosions. It definitely makes you check the popoff valve on your heater. It can literally level a house.

i have boiled this one dry and no pressure builds whatsoever
it is safe to use but the tent needs to have good venting in order for the steam vapor to escape. unless you want a sweat lodge

Are you actually cooking directly on the stove top??? Not that it won't work but doesn't it make a mess?

no mess, it just makes the inside of the tent smell good for a while, it all comes out in the wash. plus it seasons the stove

Pardon me for my ignorance, why is that better than a billy on the stove top?

Fair enough, I have never seen anyone use such a heater here, but then most of us have never seen your weather.

not to worry brother.... it is a concept that some may find redundant or foolish. but once you have a qt. of water boiling in 2 minutes, it makes you a believer.

We are still at the point where a chair in camp is viewed as being a bit swish and a bloke with a tent is a poser.

I suspect that a touch of your snow would put paid to that quick smart.
