Made a piss poor shot and hit the deer in the neck with an 85 gr TSX...dropped like a sack of potatoes.

Killed a big doe at 270 yds. Oh, and believe it or not, deer bite. Fairly hard.

Both first time kills with those cartridges for me. Give me land, lots of land, under starry skies above. Don't fence me in.

Shot my first deer with it late in the season, a doe that dropped to the shot at about 75 yards. Bradon, northern Florida I started out deer hunting in 1968 with Grandad's 30-30 Winchester carbine. Sherwood FIRE UP THE GRILL - is NOT catch and release!
