I sling carry mine - a 17 inch chopped Ruger77 in '06 (ugly bbl bulge up front when purchased for $80)). I invented the short version before Ruger did.... smile

Was 'sposed to be a knock-around "boat gun". But...

Shot so well after chop that I took it sheep hunting and killed a ram at @ 330 yards. 4 days later a moose at 70 yards. That was a real damned short hunting season!

Have since taken numerous animals with it out to a caribou at @356 yd (paced).

What does a sling have to do with killing things..?
