How many bullets should a person carry and still be within the boundaries of common sense? Five. While I know some folks just don't like carrying without a reload, that there are reasons other than capacity to carry a spare magazine and that one's magazines may simply just hold 13rds, I agree that if you actually "need" 26rds in a self defense situation, odds are good that you're doing something wrong.

Travis 3 or 4 gangbangers try to jump/rob you together....you could run out of 26 quick if they are determined....especially considering the stress of the situation could cause you some misses....there was a link here on a page of why a cop carries over 100....it was him and one bad guy and the cop almost ran out of ammo And before you say that situation is you doing something wrong, some of us work in some of the worst ghettos in America, me being one of those

What are you doing wrong? Missing.....a lot. Selling drugs. Buying drugs. Stealing drugs. Making drugs. Growing weed. Not extricating yourself from the situation. Not smart enough to avoid the situation in the first place.

but having more $$ in the bank than we're apt to "need" for current uses
or having more rounds available than "odds" say is necessary
just give me the warm fuzzies

but there's a bunch more defects I own with higher priority.
most folks never shoot at a target that's shooting back
my best guesstimate is the stress of shooting down a lane where there's incoming that accuracy might suffer a bit.
wouldn't feel unarmed with a 1911, handgun I cut my teeth on for the most part
but I can't see much harm in ending a threat and having 10 rds. left in your mag, but that's just me

I would love to have "one of everything...."...BUT...I have had 4 Glocks over the years....I only have one now....my G19 which is
my EDC....never a problem with them...just went on to other things...like a few more revolvers.
