I need a recommendation for a reliable meat thermometer.
Preferably one that you can leave in the meat and it displays temps outside the oven. It doesn't have to be programable but displays temperature.
I don't need a "stab and read" type thermometer. I've got a good one of those units but I need one that can be left in the meat.

Yep. But I would go with the ET-732 for just a few more bucks. Mike Have the 732 and works great

I have put seven hard years on a Polder timer/thermometer. It has a long, flexible probe, and you can set it to alarm when you get the set temp. Inexpensive, bulletproof.
