Bought an air rifle this weekend for the grandkids to shoot because of the shortage of 22 ammo. I am hooked again after 20 years. Now I am interested in a 177 pistol. I think I would like a P1. Any advice and any used P1's out there and how much should I pay.

The P1 is a great pistol and still demand a high price, even used.
Don't be shocked, I've seen prices for a nice, clean used P1 go for
$200-300 bucks. They're running in the mid $400 new.
A friend of mine says that it's a hard pistol to get accurate with. It's hold sensitive and requires a steady consistent hold to be consistent. (it's a springer, it's going to be hold sensitive.)

also known as the HW45, is pretty frustrating for me. For one thing it's big and heavy and pretty hard to cock. After a string of 10 shots my wrist is getting tired so I certainly wouldn't call it an all day plinker. I find it fussy on which pellet it likes. It seemed to take forever to stop dieseling (over 900 shots) and that didn't help accuracy any. The bottom line is; I can't shoot that gun worth sour owl [bleep]! Excuse my french. Mine will be going down the road pretty soon.

Well, how much? Maybe in over my head but I do shoot 1911 and cz 40 quite a bit. Any advice is appreciated.

You might want to see if you can find a Gamo compac target pistol.

Easy to cock as it's a pneumatic, quite accurate and reasonably priced.

I'm pretty darn happy with the gammo I bought last week. It's a bottom cocker and shoots darn good if I do my part. Had a R1 years ago & wish I hadn't sold it. A bit pricy now. I never trusted a break barrel, probably just in my head.

Looked on net, can't find. All sites say discontinued. Looks like a nice pistol.

That's a pity as their current line up of air pistols look like toys.
