Had this for about a month now. Just got around to posting.
It's a HS precision.
So far I'm in love... if you have a custom bob lets see it.

Great lookin group! That is indeed a gorgeous scope also! What load you runnin?

My first custom is a Czech Mauser chambered to 257 AI w/ a cheap Adams & Bennett F34 contour tube in a Remington 798 take-off laminate w/ M8 6x 42mm Euro #4 reticle. It's been around a fair bit, but last fall I introduced this dink to 90 gr GMXs:

Fortunately I hadn't been sitting round the 'fire when I built it or I'd not have known that cheap tube would shoot 75 gr VMs so poorly:

...or 110 NABs:

...or 100 gr Interlocks (200 yds):

My Yugo 48 was finished last fall but I haven't had a chance to wring it out.

Blueprint:

Yugo 48 Intermediate Mauser action
S&K Sculpted Bases/Rings (plated to match rifle)
Dakota 3- position "M70-style" safety
Custom knob
Timney Sportsman trigger; shoe plated to match rifle
#3 CM Shilen 1-in-10" twist tube trimmed to 21"
Boyd's Classic Nutmeg laminate (grip drilled for cap; barrel channel free-floated)
Mahovsky's Metalife Plating
Now wearing a silver VX-2 w/ LRD

That was the factory target. They were 85 grain nosler ballistic tips I believe. I can provide load data later.
Currently it's shooting consistent 1" groups w/ factory loads.
Right now I'm in the process of working up some 100 gr ttsx loads.

You got yourself a fine shooter and a looker.

I started out loading mine w/ IMR-4350 & 100s. That worked really well, but the stuff doesn't flow so nicely through a measure.

I've been working with Ramshot Hunter in both my standard Bob & Better Bob (as well as my 6-250, 280 AI, and 30-06) and getting FANTASTIC results speed- and accuracy-wise. If you can find some I highly recommend it.

It flows like water through a measure, too!

I look forward to seeing your results!

EFW, Those are some outstanding customs you have there. I especially dig how you were able to take some inexpensive parts and put together that second 257 that looks great and shoots better, on the cheap!

Very nice! I dabble in the Roberts round a bit. It's wearing a 6x42 matte now.

Excellent! That'll knock em dead fo sho!

Don't know if you're inclined, but I'd bet you can go up a grain or 3 more before experiencing pressure issues.

Are you running magnum primers? I've gotten best accuracy results from them (and lowest extreme spreads in velocity) w/ Hunter in all 4 cartridges I've tested.

Sounds promising! Don't overlook the 90 gr Hornady GMX if you're into tipped monometals.

Thanks for reporting back!

Today I tried 47 48 49 and 50 with plain large rifle primers and no visible signs of pressure.
Take a look at barnes website.

I will be getting 500 free bullets from hornady for free so some 90s will be inbound.

That was 115 gr Nos Bal Tip at 3050 fps.
I would go faster, but the Norma brass is soft as butter.
