This is a very rare find. Produced only in 1977, the Colt Viper is one of the most sought after of the snake guns by collectors. This gun features the nickel finish which adds 30% value over the blued versions.

Gun is in 85% condition. No box included. Has some flakes in the nickel finish near the end of the barrel. Finish is otherwise good and the grips are in great condition.

Serious buyers please contact me via pm for serial number info on this gun so you can verify it is a true viper not a clone. This gun will only be listed on this site until Monday morning at that point it will be listed on gunbroker.

As seen in below link, this gun is selling on gunbroker at this moment. Listed gun is in better condition than mine and comes with box but the box and paperwork is reproduction.

$3500 for Fire members and $1800 for Gunbroker??

i knew there would be one fool.... you dont start an auction at the price you want for the item. why dont you check the link in the original post and see what they go for.

There is a cult of sorts lately, guys trying to get the whole set of Snake Guns. This has caused a bubble of sorts, like the great Tulip craze a century or more ago. I have learned to avoid such tomfoolery, since my penchant for buying high and selling low causes great marital discord.

truth is the actual book value on this gun is not near that 3500 mark, but it is very hard to find especially in nickel that colt collectors will pay for it. the gun that was sold for $4250 last week, book value is around $1500 on it. BUT celery here thinks I am trying to gouge someone on here, that is not the case. I offered it at 3500, then posted a link to where you can o bid on it starting at $1800. If it doesn't sell I will hold on to it. There always seems to be the one guy who tries to call out conspiracy on here in threads.

Celery doesn't think there is a conspiracy about the Colt. I am just stating that it's ironic that you give a 50% discount when you list it on Gunbroker. If it's on auction over there and you are confident that it will bring more than $1800, why don't you start it at a penny. That will get the adrenalin flowing for buyers and you.

Are you saying your gun is in the same condition as the one that sold for $4250? The condition will determine the ultimate value of a collectible gun. Condition and rarity. If it's high end, people want condition.

Box and 95%+ then I could see the price. In the end it is worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Best wishes on your auction.

If you are not interested in the gun, dont buy it. I stated my gun was 85% and listed it $750 less than the 95% one from gunbroker.
