Best values on that list are the Sage Fly rods. All the others are just plain old rods.

Best values on that list are the Sage Fly rods. All the others are just plain old rods. #1 is given. #2 depends on what weight it is but for $100 I will probably snag it. #3 for $60-$65 is a deal. Talked to a guy who is a St. Croix rep and he said they were made around 2001 ad were $150 then. I think the only other one I may be interested in is the Fenwick. Just wasn't sure if any of the others were "good buys for the price". Thanks! WFR

Everything is a good buy if one is after deals. I'd go after the Sages's too for value, but I have about 15 or 20 fly rods already.

Offer $400 for them ALL. Try them all out and ebay the ones that don't excite you. Use the lesser ones as airline travel rods or gift them to a former non-angler you get "hooked" on the sport.

Got the first 3. The second Sage is a 8'6" 2Wt RPL which seems to be kind of rare. The St. Croix was one of the early Avids still in the tube nad never fished.
Figure I will fish each one and see which one I like the best. That Sage SP is Sweet!

No comments on the other rods, but if that Eagle claw FL300 is their yellow fiberglass featherweight model, and I'm pretty sure it is, then $20 is what they go for right now at Walmart.

WFR That Sage will ruin you! I fish with nothing but Sage & Winston Fly Rods. I don't think you can find a better Fly Rod made than Sage.

I don't think you can find a better Fly Rod made than Sage. the 7'6" 3wt feels unlike anything I've had in my hands before. The 8'6" 2wt is kind of cool too! The old guy said he over-lined it with 3wt line and loved it. I doubt either of those Sages was fished more than a handful of times. Just finished cleaning up the rod tubes and wiping the dust of the rods. Excellent craftsmanship!

Mark No fiberglass Mark. The rest of it is gone. I called back yesterday to see if she had sold the old Lamson fly reels and she said it was all sold. Glad I was able to get what I got. Will probably keep the 2 Sages and sell/trade the St. Croix.

You are in for a treat once you hook a fish on that RPL 2 wt. LOTS of fun.
