Im going back to tuning one or at most 2 guns at the time, I tried 4 yesterday, 3 after scope change.
I got the 52'std mod 70 in Swift shooting good after finding out the front single screw that holds ring to base was loose.Elevation was dead on but windage would wonder 2 in left or right. Easy Fix.

Nice rifles buddy. Looks like you took your sight block off the varminter. Sorry to hear about your second DD failure. I've never had one break. I'm wondering about Leupolds QC and if they got a bad batch of steel myself.

Top photo scope is a J. Unertl 10X 43 varminter in Bheuler (sp?)base and rings. very best winpoor

I do have a Leupold 36X scope with fine X hair and a 1/8 min dot that I usually mount on every gun I get in to "SEE what a gun will do" . These old mod 70's shoot so good I just mount what I think they will get hunted with. v best winpoor
