What a great night of fishing, I'm so happy with the convertible bunk seats on the new Hewes ProV. We sleep so good in there and fish all night comfortably now.

All three of these were caught on 12lb test, using spinning gear. Roll Mop Herring bait, and night crawlers. Two were on 1960 vintage Mitchell 300 reels. The big one was on an Accurate Twin spin #6 spinning reel. We also caught a giant carp which would have been as heavy as this big cat, I did not weigh it though. It nearly spooled the Accurate twin spin on the original run. It continued to strip line on and off for 20 minutes. I was heartbroken to see it at the boat. I thought I had a 35lb cat! We caught 8 cats total. Kept the three eating size fish and turned loose the big hogs.

Carp have an incredible fight, what a massively powerful fish!

The Biggest was 25lb 6 oz the one Callie is holding was 22lb 10 oz and the third was 18lbs measured with the digital Berkley scale which is seemingly quite accurate. It measures test weights of water Jugs perfectly.

Great feesh.
The problem 'round here is.....what to do.
Too many choices.

I brought my Hewescraft home to go out for salmonoids today.
Oops.
They met the quota this week and shut it down, Friday @ 8:30.

P.S. That caused....yard work.
I hate yard work.
