in the old days the 50-70 was the big 50, them came the 50-90 I guess, wish I had a 50-70 again, had a Shilo carbine, bear hunted 2 years with it and never saw a bear, could hit a bowling pin at 50 yrds, off hand with that rifle, one I wish Id never have sold!
