Hey all !
Got a question for those of you that shoot this bullet. How does it perform on hogs, deer, elk and moose? Is there a max speed? Is there a minimum speed? I want to run them about 1650fps out of my Guide Gun. Looking for real world experiences. What say you?

Thanks in advance, Tom

At what ranges are we talking here? It has a poor BC compared to the 405 Rem for example.

I shot a trophy black bear with one at 100 leaving the muzzle of my 22" 1895 Marlin at 1865 fps. It made a 3" hole going in behind the right shoulder. Never found that bullet though it never made exit. The bear went down in some alders with all four paws in the air. At 85 yds, I gave him another between neck and shoulder for insurance. That one was found in the off side arm pit in skinning. It retained 90.5%. It worked, but I've never used it since on bear. There are better, including the 405 Rem and the 350 Hornady's if looking for a cheap bullet.

Under 150 yds. I won't shoot farther than that.

Thanks, Tom
