I am looking for a cheap savage model 10 youth stock. Any suggestions on where to find such a thing?

I have a short action, center feed youth stock if you're interested. I'm thinking the stock has the sporter barrel contour.
Would that work?

I don't know but I think it may. Mine is a model 10 sporter package , accutrigger gun in synthetic. I will take some measurements and let you know what they are. Condition doesn't really matter as I will probably paint it pink for my daughter anyway. Taking my 9 year old hunting this year and trying to get her in some good trigger time this summer.

Here is the dimensions. Blind magazine some type of center feed clip in the magazine. Furthest bolts seem to be ~7.25" apart.

Does the mag stay in the stock when disassembled or is it attached to the action?

Shortactionsmoker, It seems to have the clip permanently adhered to the stock. I'm sure it could be removed but I don't know how. Here's a pic and some pics of the action. It is an accutrigger model and it seems that the rear trigger guard screw just holds the trigger guard and doesn't attach to the action like the other two.

I sent you a PM. It's a center feed, same as my youth stock.

There isn't really a big difference in the LOP between a youth and full sized Savage stock. I looked at buying one for a friend's daughter and spoke with Jim Briggs at Northland Shooting (he is a big dealer in Savage parts) and he said it wasn't worth buying for the difference. I would look at finding a wood stock for it or would consider shopping the synthetic stock to fit using a Limbsaver slip on pad.
