Are these feral or native? The look like our feral hogs, except longer snouts and hair. Do you eat them?

Are these feral or native? The look like our feral hogs, except longer snouts and hair. Do you eat them? Certain parts of Oz have a lot of feral pigs. They are hunted to control numbers and sport, but I am not sure if they go into the commercial food chain or not. Theres a lot of shooting for the pet food market down there as well, so the carcasses might end up there, but thats only speculation on my part. Feral pigs are also hunted extensively in parts of New Zealand.

To my knowledge, there are no bush pigs in Australia. They have feral pigs.
Bush pigs are a reclusive African wild pig, seldom seen in daylight.

feral pigs yes, some eat them. there is a market that goes to places like germany. when shooting kangaroos for the box you take the pigs as well.

Feral pigs have been here for a long time.
Some were released by early explorers as were goats but there have been many escapes by domestic stock over the years as well as deliberate releases...so they're here to stay.
