The secret to great deviled eggs is horseradish, not soy sauce............... do you know what wasabi tastes like? I do now, boy I walked into that one!

After you commented, I went to a few sushi sites and discovered more info re: wasabi. It is a unique and somewhat rare. If you see small quantities of it for sale for large sums, it is the real thing.
However, in the States the product, in all of its forms and preparations, is modest in price and made with horseradish and then lightly dyed green. That must be why it tastes like...horseradish. I would like to try the real thing sometime.
