Ronin.. not doubting your word, I was just making an observation.
Here in Texas there's a couple of famous birding spots along the river where the juxtaposition of the portly matrons from the Arbuckle Audubon club with the abundant signs of last night's trafficking is simply surreal.

...and another hazard. I do recall a hunter accidentally shot one of them undocumented pedestrians in the brush near Eagle Pass recently, and faced a world of legal hurt as a result.
Of course Mexico was "irate".

Usually along the boarder I have a Shakespear Ugly stick and several different types of spinners, I have never felt threatend by a Canadian.
