Gents, Looks like I will be able to hunt moose in Sweden again this fall. This year I have a pretty good chance at a bull. This would be my first bull moose of any subspecies.
I have a deal with the wife... I tell her that it is going on the wall regardless but she selects the mount. Most of the time she picks European style. She likes the clean lines and not so cluttered feeling. Though a moose of respectable size might warrant a shoulder mount.
Moose in Sweden are similar in body size to Shiras but the antlers might not as grand.
Big or small doesn't matter. So let's see what you got!

Montana Shiras moose. They aren't as big as the Northern tribe, but they are still heavy...

Montana camo Shrap? SkyBlue?
Hope to take my one and only Shiras in Wyoming, and next year.
Nice work with what looks like a fine piece!

Rost, mine was only about 63.5" wide. Scored well though because of the width of the paddles. About 230" on B&C.

Dog Hunter, that's a helluva moose for a Montana Shiras IMO. Lots of class!

Here is a pic of my Newfie moose and me in 2011.

Vermont moose. Very cool! I'm sitting in a little cabin near Mnt Washington, NH as I type this, on vacation. The kids and I got to see our first real-live moose yesterday on the drive here. Definitely makes me want to hunt them!

Cool! I took a bull in New Hampshire too. North of where you're at by a decent ways though.

No way. My sex life is private. Maybe you misread my request. I said moose not MOUSE... All of the photos have been great so far. Hopefully I can seal the deal with a nice bull this year!

There's gotta be a joke in there somewhere about "stump-breaking".

There's gotta be a joke in there somewhere about "stump-breaking". OK - I thought of it.... Have you ever tried to stump break a mouse? Damned things are awful jittery...
