Great vehicle! Wife has the '13. Had the'07 before that. ZERO issues! Well built, durable, quiet. Never went off road, but have logged 170k miles in the '07 and 50k on the '13

We chose the VW Touareg V8 over the MDX after all was said and done. We made a good choice IMHBAO.

It is solid! Mrs. JG will love it. Abolutely no issues. Earlier ones needed better A/C, and the new ones have it. Fill it with gas, change the oil, give it new shoes about every 40k and front brakes at 80k, and that's it. I have nothing negative at all. Carries enough junk for 4 of us with golf clubs for 10 days of vacation no sweat.

What is not to like? I am a long time Acura/Honda guy. They just go. Sure, they have a few quirks like indifferent air conditioning, excessive road noise, and fogging windows, but they go and they go and they go and they go and they go some more. I wish I could interest my wife in a MDX instead of some other overpriced SUV I'm going to have to buy in the next year or so.

Take a look at the Toyota Highlander before you buy, basically the same thing, about $12k cheaper. Worth a test drive.
(or the Pilot, CRV, etc.)

It is crazy. We still have, parked out under one of our barns, a 1978 GMC Jimmy that my dad paid somewhere in the neighborhood of $8,500.00 for. That was an expensive car then. Last weekend, I road around in my friends $80k GMC Yukon. Just shoot me if I ever pay that much for a car.

German engineering and styling vs. Jap. I'll take German every time. But that is just me.

Exactly. A BMW is the best car in the world until the warranty runs out, and then it is a maintenance intensive bitch that costs $200 to even get the oil changed.

Not the MDX, but my wife drives a 2011 RDX with the 4 cylinder turbo.

Can't say much about it yet, it's only got 25,000 miles on it.

I'll be able to tell you more after about 300,000 more miles.

This is how I see it as well. Wife has a GL 450 with 150k. Lots of little annoying crap keeps us busy fixing it, all costs 3x what it should IMO. Everything is overly complicated to operate as well. Who needs a 550 page owners manual?

Wifey took her '13in for the 60k service this morning, and has a '14 as a loaner. I'll check it out when she gets home, but she has already called home about it. Bad news is she loves it! Says visability on the right side is better in the newer one. Another thing about the MDX, they seem to hold their alignment well. Tires last and last.

Kidding aside, I have no experience owing one but I do ride in my friends. Her's is a 12 or 13, and I like it. That's all I can tell you about it...well that and it bugs the crap out of that when I tell her she has a really nice Honda Pilot. laugh

Brought home a '15 MDX Advance package from Dallas today. The 5 hour ride home made me a believer.....it is one quiet, comfortable, sweet handling ride. Thanks for the help fellas.
