We spent the weekend camping and fishing. We were treated to a spectacular view of some elk in the low country. Only in Montana...

WOW, those are a bunch of REALLY nice bulls! Do you have permission to hunt the land they are hanging out on?

It has been a while since I was able to hunt elk. When I am able someday soon, I am going to get after them, and hard!

Thank you for sharing these great photos.

Just 26 days til deer season here, no daily/season limit on bucks, but we sure as Hell don't have anything that looks close to THAT. Nice pictures.

Fenced in Elk Hunting, only in Montana

A Doe walks out of the woods today and says, that is the last time I'm going to do that for Two Bucks.

What great pictures those are!

What a dude. Those elk jumped that fence like it wasn't there. You might want to get out more and see how little fences mean to an animal this big...

Most likely by the time elk season rolls a round those bad boys will be long gone.

Those aren't fenced elk. Fences for elk are a lot higher and stronger than three strand barbed wire fencing. Thar's cattle fencing not elk fencing.

Beautiful! I've never hunted elk. Looks like four good reasons to start right there. grin

Thanks for sharing!

Cool pictures Shrap, thanks for sharing! Somewhere I have pictures of a few bulls hanging around in a Boise neighborhood. I'll have to dig them out one of these days.

Me either, Ed, and I am afraid that I am too old, fat, out of shape, bad back, etc. that I ever will. I do enjoy watching them when I go to the shindig, in New Mexico. Which by the way is less than a month away. Have you found a way to cancel out your obligations and come? miles

Yea,,, run and get permission to hunt that property Schrap.
No doubt those bulls will still be standing in the same spot come hunting season.
