It is behaving very differently than previous Ebola virus outbreaks, which means it's probably mutated in one or more critical genes, and our virologists need to get hands on it and find out how it's changed and how it might be defeated. Or, if you're right and we DO have this virus on hand, that would mean that someone took it out of the lab and introduced the virus into the population in Africa, either deliberately or accidentally... which I personally consider an appalling thought, and highly unlikely. I do remember smallpox kilt a lot of Native Americans, but it wasn't done on purpose. I wonder how the breakdown in the system occurred, to allow the two American patients to become infected? lack of resources, maybe?

I wonder why the diseased territories aren't being compartmentalized to reduce the likelihood of spread? maybe they are being compartmentalized, and they've not yet told us? in other words, how does the human genetics work to shut down the spread of the disease from beyond it's current boundaries? is the UN involved? we don't need to hear from a bunch of PR people, we want to hear the words emanating from the mouths of the Doctors who are actually involved. the PR people can take a break.
