I have a couple of these and the view is amazing for an inexpensive scope. Thought about selling them but wondered if they would hold up on an air rifle? Anyone with any experience using them? Also have a Simmons 8 point that looks very clear for the cost. How would this hold up?

What kind of "air rifle"? Pneumatic, yes. High power spring piston, maybe for awhile. Magnum power spring piston guns are scope killers if the scope isn't built for the 2 way recoil they generate.

i'd buy an airgun scope. and yes, those sportviews are amazing for a $30 scope. i bought several when natchez had them on sale for something like $24.99. i put one on my 35 pump and everytime i end up with a better scope for it, i just can't bring myself to change it. huge FOV and eye relief and clear as a bell.

I've had a 10/22 knock the lens out of a sportview after several thousand rounds. You don't normally think of a 22rf as having that much recoil, but that heavy bolt slamming back enough times did the deed.

Spring piston air guns are scope killers, they don't have to be the magnum variety either. I just don't expect an inexpensive scope to last on a spring piston gun. It'll work for awhile, but at some point you're zero is going to shift and the groups will open up.

The Banner is the lowest level Bushnell I'd use on a spring powered rifle. And then only on the lower powered rifles. I've used the their Elite scopes on several magnum powered springs with zero problems.

Also, a proper air rifle scope will be set up to focus and be parallax free for say 25yards which is another benefit..
