I have a knife with cape buffalo horn and it has shrunk slightly over the years so that it's now slightly undersized. Not by a huge amount, but enough to be able to feel the edges of the full tang when it's held. I don't know if stag has this tendency as well or not. Something to consider. Frank

Every normal man must be tempted, at times, to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats.

It's pretty inert to the elements...it was engineered to be so it could be used in industry...and last and perform, and last and perform, etc.. I like mineral oil though...I like it on natural materials like bone and wood and such. Every day on this side of the ground is a win.
