So the LT-104 is about 7 ounces, I have one but wonder if a set of LW aluminum rings from any source is available to mount a light 4X scope on a gun.

Being an azz here, but pretty hard to come to a light enough AR, IMHO, that AL rings would make me much difference.
But you may have done a 5-6 pound gun, and in that case, I get it.

Ounces make pounds...
Someone here posted some see through mounts and Nikon has their extended rings/mount. It could be done.
