Hi Guys,
I recently purchased a 243win for my oldest boy to shoot and was hoping someone could help shortcut me to some good reloads. If it was the 6mm Rem I'd be set as I have that all sussed out, the 243win however is new to me.
Appreciate your help in advance.

Somewhere between 41 and 42 grains of H4350 will give you an accurate load. 42 grains is John Barsness's choice in Handloads That Work. I have found that load to be very accurate in three different .243s using the 95 grain Nosler and Hornady poly tipped bullets.

W-760 or H-414 may be easier to find and works well

even tho you got good advice... that is a great bullet...
I load these up for young kids, and surprisingly, loads of 30 grains of 4198 or 25 grains of SR 4759, will get you in the 2600 fps range with that bullet....
more than a capable 250 yd load...even on good sized game..
load is easy, even on 10 yr old girls, and grown women...
funny thing is, is how many guys like it after shooting it...
just passing on an alternative, depending on the age of your son..

IMR4064 also works really well with milder loads. Have had good luck as well with R-19 and 95 SSTs in full power loads.

IMR or H-4350 have worked equally as well for me with 95g b-tips. Don't care for hornadys version.

If you just don't want to reload and your boy wants to use the rifle with complete success on all game for the rest of his life.
Hornady Super-performance GMX or a Barnes flavor. The XP3 is awesome on deer but ruins too much meat.

41.5 grains of H4350 behind the 95 nosler BT has worked well for me in several rifles.
