Guys, I'm going to be gone for hopefully just a little while here. I'm going to the hospital at 6:30 tomorrow morning to get an internal defibrillator implanted. According to the doctors, it's a quick deal. In and out the same day as long as there's no complications. You guys are just going to have to hold down the fort for a few days here. T-Zone is instructed to take care of business around here in my absence, and I gave him strict orders to kick anyone's arse that gets out of line, so you boys play nice while I'm gone, or Tommyboy's gonna go postal on y'all.

I'll be back in a few days.

Make sure they implant it on your non-shooting shoulder

Yeah, I have a hard enough time shooting right handed. Can't imagine trying to do it southpaw.

Careful there gg...it could be goalie. I'm sure he's a top-flite nurse, and yes, he can brew beer, but chances are he played hockey without a mask. And for a goalie, that probably puts him out of the "hottie" category. grin

Good luck and be well! Hunting season is around the corner. cool

<pssst!> Tzone is your muscle? He's starting to get that goofy deer "thing" again. Wide eyes that don't blink, sniffing chairs for signs of estrous, rubbing the paint clean off the door frame with his noggin', easily distracted by shiney things...no wait, those are bass boats. Anyway, you might want to rethink your choice. laugh

Oofda, long week.

Started out at the trap station last weekend working the Sportsmen For Youth Day. 2500 kids. Over a 1000 rounds of 20ga fired from 24" away. Then had a funeral up north - fast trip with long hours on the road. Internment was the next day 200 miles away in pouring rain - something about Taps, 21 gun salute, and old veterans doing a slow salute at a flag draped casket...I can't keep a dry eye. Then came home and taught 70 kids Hunter Safety for 3 nights. Now the missus has me going to a Roseanne Cash concert 2 hours away tomorrow night getting in at 1am. Then I have to get the boy up at 4am for early duck season.

Guess I'll sleep when I'm dead.

Well I'm a. In rut all year but don't look twice at bass boats. You drive a Ranger 620 by me though and I'm on it like a lab on a steak.

Jeff, we're all pulling and praying for your fast recovery.

To help fuel the deer season fire... I saw a nice 7pt buck right by the road at 6am this morning. I stopped, shined the headlights on him and he stood there like a deer in the headlights. laugh

On that note I have work to do so I have playing to do!

I got a call from GG about 10am.... He was in recovery already. He was a bit groggy but he sounded like he was in good spirits. Hopefully the nurses don't send him home prematurely. grin

Got released around 12:30. Home now and sleeping off and on all afternoon. They gave me an RX for Vicodin. 'Haven't had to take any yet. My shoulder feels tight, and a little bit of throbbing but otherwise okay. They're telling me to not elevate my left arm above my shoulder for about 4 weeks, but to use it some so it doesn't stiffen up. Local anesthetic. I was in and out throughout the procedure. To answer Goalie's hope that I got a hottie nurse, yeppers, I had two.

Glad it went well Mr. Gopherman !

Made the grandson breakfast this am. He's watching Peter rabbit and hiding his eyes from the owl. I gotta get that boy in the woods!

Hey gopher, I knew you'd do fine but I'm still glad to hear it went well.

Now take it easy, get all better before hunting season.

Something clever here.
