Rory and others will have lots of good photos of the guns and other goodies on display at this year's Fest. This year, I decided to take pictures of the people who attended. Here's a few:

The .250 Model T that Steve put on the prize table was a nice surprise, as was the MHG bayonet that John donated. The guys who don't attend these events just don't know what they're missing.

I think I do know Rod...makes me sad that I missed it. I hope to make it a first one of these years. Sure looks like a good group of Savages! (speaking of the guns of course wink )

Looks like a great gathering of people and Savages. Thanks for sharing. The blimp shots were the best.

Oh yes I do Rod. I've attended several and they've all been great and I've learned a lot every time. Much as I wanted to make this past one given that it looked to be epic in status it just wasn't in the cards. Glad that you all had a great time.

Finally found time last night to go through my photos and get them edited and uploaded.

There's 274 pictures, so I won't post them all inline in this thread. grin

View them here:

http://www.savagefest.net/SavageFest_2014/index.php/

Click on the "Play" icon on the upper right to see a slideshow of all the pictures and you can scroll through it with the right and left arrow keys.

Some are kind of blurry, but I did the best I could with fluorescent lighting and not having my tripod.

+1 Rory. As you always do, nice work and effort. See you're still using the GE camera. I still use mine as well.

As a note to you and Johno, both of you should be able to pick out the gun in the pictures that was manufactured in Australia and has a set of original sights on it that were acquired from New Zealand (it was without sights when purchased) - so there was a little bit there from 'down under'.

There are some beautiful rifles in those pictures, but for those of us who weren't fortunate enough to be able to attend the "Fest", I would have loved it if someone would have put "names" under the pictures of the guys who did attend so those of us who couldn't attend would know "who-was-who" at the "Fest".

I've talked on the phone with several of you "lucky-mugs" who were there, but it would SURELY have been GREAT to see "who-was-who" if "names" had been put with the "faces" in, at least, some of those pictures so all of us would know the guys with whom we chat 'most every day.

Butttttt... yes, I "know"... that would have been a lotta hard work...! But it would have been very much "appreciated" by guys like me who couldn't attend. smile

Probably isn't one. They are held when somebody has the time and desire to host it (it's not a small amount of work). We've been averaging one every 2 years.

Gunut, you shoulda came to Savage Fest 2014 as it was in your area. smile
I'm looking forward to Savage Fest 2016 already. Timed to coincide with WYO1895's book release. whistle
And as 1899SAV said, hosting is not hard. Pick a date, reserve/provide a space that can handle ~40 tables or so depending upon needs and that's it. Any place has some hotels and food in the area.
I'm a newbie to the forum and with a few pointers from forum members and previous hosts Savage Fest 2014 was successful.
PM me any questions.

Will there be a Savage fest in 2016? if so, where and when?
