Looking to sell a couple pieces. One is a gray fox, and one is a Raccoon. Is it legal to sell or do I have to go through a licensed taxidermist? I am in upstate NY.

Here are the two for sale. I have more pics on my other computer and my phone. But you get the idea and if you are interested I can send you more. I have not researched what they are worth, but if you want to shoot an offer, go ahead and message me.

There are a lot more ½" rifles than ½" shooters.

In the lower 48 you can sell everything but Waterfowl and Doves. This is not true. Check your state laws regarding the sale of wildlife. Some states require permits to sell taxidermy mounts and some animals are simply prohibited to sell.

I think ya can but call the regional DEC office as there is usually a warden available. I see them all the time on craigslist for sale. Most time's when some one post illegal stuff there it is flagged quite quick.

I just checked with the NYS DEC. As long as it is not waterfowl or protected species I am fine to sell.

It is hard to know if there is any interest in something for sale that does not have a price listed.

Well there's interest, a price tag will determine how much.
