Some subscribers to RLN suggested we put together a collection of past issues in book form, so we did, and RIFLE LOONY NEWS, THE FIRST FIVE YEARS is now available. It's a large-format paperback of 263 pages, priced at $28.50, which includes media mail shipping in the U.S. It can be ordered through www.riflesandrecipes.com, or you can call Eileen at 406-521-0273.

How far behind is the new optics book? I was hoping for a combination deal.

We're finishing up the last editing of the optics book before sending it to the printer. It should be available in November.

Thanks! We couldn't believe it had been five years either. Hoping to put out another edition in 2019.

Proud of you and happy for you and Eileen. I hope that you sell a ton of these.

I think I'll just keep my subscription going....I can't wait until 2019. (Grin)

Got my signed copy today and the book is GORGEOUS!!! It's packed full of photos and good reading (re-reading???). Thanks for both of your efforts. Readers are missing something if they don't get this one! I'm planning a knee replacement for after hunting season and have been stockpiling books to read. However, I may not be able to wait!

My copy showed up today. What a great book. It is nice to be able to sit out on the deck and peruse the articles and recipes. In looking through the book its interesting how much of this material seems new even though I am sure it was read on the computer. Take a few bookmarks with you as there are lots of things that you are going to want to look up or read at a later time.

Thanks for putting this out John and Eileen.

The new book's entirely different, not just an "updated" version of the previous book, as some optics have changed considerably in the past 15 years, especially scopes. The quality of cheaper stuff has also gone up a LOT.

If the order comes in before 4:00 Mountain Time Monday-Friday, our "shipping department" tries to ship that day. Otherwise it goes out the next weekday.

Please extend my thanks to the "Shipping Department"! Customer service is a dying art these days, it's nice to see that it's still alive in some places!

I would be interested in one that had been read once to add to my collection...

John-
Is the book a compilation of selected issues or is it all of them?
