I told myself that if I could get a SS sbh for $400 or so, I would buy it, even though it is about as far away from the 'need' category as you could get. I set the price point based on a couple I have seen sold between $400 & $450. I know they are not frequently sold at this price, but I am super patient on this one.

I got wrapped up at work yesterday and completely forgot the auction was scheduled to end mid-afternoon. Pizz me off....

Work seems to get in the way of a lot of good stuff in life. (Grin)

That is exactly what my mother always says, 'work always seems to get in the way of life for you'

I have actually seen them sell a touch cheaper, but it's like catching lightening in a bottle...

I have a older SBH in stainless steel, 5-1/2" barrel, fluted cylinder, .44 mag and you can't have it. smile

Sorry for the teasing but I couldn't resist.

I'm curious as to why there are two cylinder.

One cylinder is 45 Colt, the other is 45 ACP

45 Colt & a 45acp cylinder. They were a limited run for Lipseys or one of the other Distribitors, I can't remember which, but I was lucky enough to find one.

They also have the Bisley Grip frame and Bisley hammer, which I prefer over the standard frame.

Doesn't need to be a convertable, but the Bisley grip, hammer, trigger and 5 1/2" barrel are IMHO perfection in a Ruger s/a big bore.

Yep. My favorite version, too. Also, this one has the un-fluted cylinder in the 45 Colt cylinder. I put some Bowen Rough Country sights and a oversize cylinder pin in mine making it really perfect!

Bahstahd!

Seriously though, I'm looking only for a 44mag with the 4 5/8" barrels

Don't feel that bad, I was looking at a S&W 625-2 with 45 colt and 45acp cyls with a 5" barrel and one bid. Had a buy it now for $300 over bid. Was thinking should I bid or just buy it and not let someone get me into a bidding war and up pops "SOLD" on the buy it now. I said some very naughty words.
