My son is in college with a kid from Georgia. They have been talking about Wild Boar hunting. I have heard that some hunts are by feeders at night and some hunts in Texas bounce you around in back of a pickup. What questions do I need to ask? Whelennut

My limited experience has been mostly from a elevated blind over a food plot or baiting. Evening hours right before dark seem to be the most productive. Spot and stalking water holes on hot days, food plots, walking roads, palmettos can be productive. You will actually hear them eating or fighting among themselves.
Also driving around and spotting them depending on the area can produce a hog or two usually. Guess it depends the type of hunt you want to do and the accommodations of the "outfitter". Georgia has a few places to hunt hogs.

Do they hunt from blinds? Do they hunt with dogs? Do they hunt at night? Do they hunt from high-racks? Do they hunt afoot?

Best yet, can I stick one?
Nothing better than running around the Texas bush country in the dark after baying hounds with only a knife. Undoubtedly the best ever hog hunt I've been on but then I only went the one time.

Did that too..it was an experience for sure. Glad I did it. BTDTthe next pig is getting a bullet in the brain.

Is it best to burn your underwear or bury it?

Are they looking at going to TX, or at hunting wherever the GA kid is from?
I just got back from a south Georgia hog hunt, and I'd gladly give you the 411 on that experience. If you're interested, PM me.
