So say all the doctors, CDC, etc.

Riiiiiiiight!

It has up to a 2 week incubation period before "symptoms develop and it becomes infectious". I'm not sure I really believe the quote part, but leave that....

What happens if someone doesn't go into the hospital "when symptoms develop"? Or surprise! gets sent home with a couple aspirin for 2 days, as we just saw happen. Pretty obvious.....

No one has asked the first question on the networks I've watched yet, and are in full (but very problematic) assurance on the last, that anyone currently exposed will be confined on developing symptoms. Maybe.

Seems the powers that be are in collusion with the media not only in denial, but full blown panicky "crowd control".

The guy had a 3 hour layover at Dulles before heading to Dallas, as well.

Plus, they believe he was in contact with at least 5 kids.

Let's see what happens over the next week or two.

This could get interesting. I wonder how many folks he came in contact with on he first trip to the hospital.

New York Times indicates he was exposed to Ebola before he left. He also helped get two people who were dieing from Ebola to the hospital. One died the next day, the other died the same day. This guy knew he had most certainly been exposed before he left.

Remember back in the early 80s when we first learned about AIDS ?

Remember all the CDC officials and Surgeon Generals telling us it was safe, because it only affected gay males.
Then they told us it only affected Gay males and the women they were married to.
Then they told us the only way to contract it was un protected sex
Then it was un protected sex and sharing needles with other drug addicts.

It seemed like they changed their story about every 3 months for a couple of years.
Then some dentist didn't disinfect his tools properly and a could of kid got AIDS and the do-do hit the wind circulating device.
They lie, the Government, the Doctors, they news media, they all lie.
More to the point, they tell us that they know what they are talking about when the fact is, they don't.

"Hilarious, in a Four Horsemen kind of way.

They're now assuring us there is "zero" chance that our dusky Patient Zero was infectious while on the flight, but for the past few weeks they've also assured us that infected Ebola neqgers would not show up in this country. So were they lying then or are they lying now?

Trick question! They were never telling the truth in the first place.

Apparently, EbolaMan flew United. No doubt the plane, after disgorging our virus incubator, took on another load of saps to other exotic destinations and gave them more than just a schitty in-flight meal."

Well, at least the case of the other guy who actually collapsed in the airport in Nigeria is encouraging; a few cases spawned by him but among those on the ground involved in his immediate care.

Ain't heard of any who caught it on the plane from Sierra Leone.

You're about 8 times more likely to be killed by lightning than by Ebola

Google "annual deaths by lighting" and you'll find it's about 24,000 world wide

There have been around 3000 Ebola deaths

The "flu" kills nearly tiwce that many yearly in the US alone:

Quote
For deaths with underlying pneumonia and influenza causes during 1976--2007 in the United States, the models estimated an annual overall average of 6,309 (range: 961 in 1986--87 to 14,715 in 2003--04) influenza-associated deaths (Table 1). For these underlying causes, the average annual rate of influenza-associated death was 2.4 deaths per 100,000 (range: 0.4--5.1).

That's a mindless and irrelevant statistic..WTF is the disease doing here anyway?

Maybe we should open the borders to import every disease from every 3rd world shidt hole based on the "odds".
