i prefer to CC to prevent theft. About 25 years ago some azzhole broke my window and removed the 9mm from my truck.

I had one stolen out of my truck about 25 years ago. I got over it. Not really a big deal in the big scheme of things.

VI, if you're talking about Scherer 30-rd .40 mags, don't trust them! Treat yourself to a few Glock OEM 22-rd G22 mags. They work great!
