Older Vari XIII 2.5x8 on a Kimber Classic with medium rings. Low rings work as well but I find myself looking over the top of my glasses with lows.

Thank you 1911a1. The 700 weight as pictured is 6 pounds 15 ounces. The Model 7 weight is 7 pounds 5 ounces as pictured. The 2.5-8x36 is the perfect scope for these rifles and the area / type of hunting for deer.

My .375 Ruger with Leupold VX3 2.5-8x and a Springbok, taken in the Karoo in SA. IMO, this range of magnification is perfect for a rifle used for both long range plains game shooting and close range opportunities in heavy cover, often on the same hunt.

My late 60's vintage Remington 700ADL in 30-06 has one. It's one of my most trusted rifles.

M70 7x57 with Leupy rings and standard lows (only because they were free with the scope).

I've always liked those M-70 FWT's. Like the lines and the checkering. Classy.

And they shoot pretty good too.

They are listed as "standard height". "12382: Browning Integrated Scope Mount System - A-Bolt Mountain Ti Matte Standard Height - One piece CNC machined 70" I bought them from opticsplanet. Browning has them listed on their website. I'm not sure if they different from other mounts or not.
