Round knob gold trigger, not sure of the constriction of the barrel (ie mod, imp, or full)

Most likely modified. If you take the barrel off you will find the choke markings.

The serial # begins with 4S, am I correct that it's a 1964? Friend of mine has one that begins in 5S?

Look at Art's Gun Shop website. Art was Brownings head A5 guy at the Arnold Missouri repair facility. Art started his own shop after retiring from Browning and lives in Hillsboro Missouri. He is pretty widely recognized as one of the top A5 guys in the country. He buys and sells A5's also so you can see his price listings, though I think he tends to be a little high on his prices.

I have a very nice 50's vintage round knob Sweet 16 with the plain (matte top) Modified barrel I would sell for $750.00. I see lots of Sweets advertised for 4-figure prices but don't think many of them sell for that much.

Art was the head of the service facility. Not just A-5 -everything. He had a salt Superposed gun refurbished for me that you couldn't tell from new. First trip up, Browning screwed it up worse than it ever was. Art had retired. Browning got him back for a while. He called me three times over the process and wiped out my complaint with a super piece of work. Great guy. I think his shop is also repairing Brownings.

choke markings are on the side of the barrel.Visible without disassembly, * means full choke, ** modified, and **- imp cyl? Yeah mods and imp cyl guns bring more money as Brownings were choked way to tight for today's better ammo. Mag Man
