The buck with the rope in his horns is in trouble. That WILL get tangled in the brush or in another bucks rack and one or two deer will die, count on it.
I've seen two deer and one elk in my life with rope or wire tangled in their racks. The elk was still alive but dragging a long stretch of rope, his days were certainly numbered. Both deer I found were dead with their rotting carcasses tangled in branches.
If that were some thin string or light electrical wire, maybe he could break it. But that looks like reasonably substantial rope. I don't see that poor bugger surviving til he drops them in Feb! Plus it's hanging around his neck too!

Looks like somebodys "hot wire" fence. Electric fences are a pain in the butt to maintain, and you have perfect evidence they are dangerous refuse to wildlife!

It's been pretty fast and furious the past few days. Bucks on the prowl. I wished I had not tagged out on my buck cause yesterday I had a giant pined and drawn on at 33 yds, he'd have been mine. He walked right in front of my camera as he filtered by! This morning to my disbelief I saw what I thought was the button buck pie bald coming through the thick brush but as it got closer I said " that's way to big to be a button buck" It was a 1 1/2 yr old buck with same pie bald markings! He rubbed up a sapling right in front of me. He passed my camera set up but I pulled the card last night and forgot to bring the replacement. The genes are already planted here!
Finally was able to get a mature doe in range late yesterday afternoon. I could have killed 10 buck this past week but no doe. Shot came at last 15 minutes of light. The deer reacted funny, she ran 40 yds and then stopped and walked into thickets. From her reaction I was nervous but when I got down at dark to retrieve my arrow it was covered in blood. I walked to where I last saw her and she wasn't there so I decided to wait till this morning to look for here. She was stone dead and was only 75 yards from where I hit her.
This thread is as good or better then any TV Hunting show. What a great idea you had and a great effort to keep this entertaining and up to date every day!
