Flave, no love for .223 Win brass? I have a metric ton of it and have never had an issue. Winchester bullets and shotgun shells are another story though.

Have had much bad luck with the newer.

What bad luck have you encountered with your newest lot?

Aside from them looking like smashed beer cans the primer pockets have varied from JFC, to JF-goddammed-Christ.

Look forward to your report.

Rem once fired

2500 pieces for $209.00

and to think me and a retired Marine buddy of mine, managed to pick up about 6,000 rounds each one afternoon, courtesy of it being left laying on the range by the State Police who were training that afternoon...

about 80% was Remington and the rest was Federal...

and the last time I picked up Winchester brass, it was once fired range pick up brass from Southern Belle Brass... 2000 rounds of nickle brass cost me $90 delivered...2000 regular brass cost like $75 delivered... cleaned also before shipped...

I get buckets of nickel range brass from a law enforcement buddy, but prefer Lapua and winchester in my bolt action 223!

I love nickel 223 brass for my AI, makes it much easier to keep them separate, plus they are easy to find in the grass. Wish I had a few hundred.

Actusally the lube isn't the issue...the LE stuff comes with a military type crimped primer and I have to swage the primer pockets......which I hate.

I like the Nickle brass, and also bring Winchester, I don't have to ream the primer pockets.. they either did that processing it, or it didn't need to be done...

but I don't have an issue swagging the primer pocket...

I just do that in low volume, like 20 or so at a time...
