I sold it to him so I could buy my 700 DM that wouldn't feed, go figure. He has stage 4 cancer and has for almost 3 years. Definitely a miracle. Any how, he doesn't want to burden his 2 girls so he is selling some things. He also gave me his brother's Glenfield 60 with the squirrels on the stock (he died 35 years ago). This will go with the 2 marlin 60s that were my cousins that I grew up with. They both died young, 21 and 26. I dread the day I get the call but if my uncle decides to give up tomorrow I will understand. He is not hunting this year because of his health. Thinking I may hunt this thing this weekend.

By all means, hunt that beast! I think nothing would make him happier than for you to send him a picture of a deer you took with it this weekend especially since he can't get out.
Help keep our sport going. take a kid outdoors!

Going to throw the Zeiss Terra on it. Hitting the range tomorrow morning. Should be brisk at 8 am. Suppose I should load up some rounds.
I killed at least 8 deer in 2 years with this rifle before I sold it to him. I believe he killed 4 with it. Maybe it has something going for it...

Forgot that my wife also used this 260to kill a doe and a nice 10pt buck.
The zeiss is mounted. We are ready for the range. Still have some of the reloads from when I had it.

Got it on paper and sent a generic 120gr core-lokt load that shoots in all 5 of my 260s. 45gr H4350 Fed 210 sparkler and RP 260 brass.
2 3 shot groups between 3/4 and 1/2 inch. Trigger is still heavy but that will have to wait for a remedy, not enough time.
