Im gonna have to build one, cause I can't find one.....

Built one in a .222.....you will like that gun!

They're pretty UBER when you put them in a normal stock.

The LVSF stock is what makes them Uber.... grin

Although one in a SAUM Ti Take-off would be skookum.

Dinsmore1: I am happy right along with you!
That nifty little Rifle should be a useful tool for you.
Be sure and let us know how it shoots!
What power range or brand ofscope are you thinking of using on it?
Best of luck to you and the new (to you) Remington.

My LVSF 204 in a Hunter's Edge makes me smile every time I shoot it. Or handle it. Or even think about it... wink

A few years ago Steve Timm called them the best "walking varminter" a guy could buy. He wasn't wrong!

I bought mine for a great price intending to flip it and make a few bucks. That plan died the first day I shot it. The only scope I had laying around was a 1.75-6X32. I stuck it on and played a bit. This is the first group I shot with it, a 5-shotter at 100 yards; that inner white square is an inch across. The 39 Sierra Blitzking over 28 grains of Varget for 3700 fps. It's not going anywhere.

[Linked Image]

Mine wears a Leupold 3.5-10X40 B&C in LW x-low rings, weighs 7 pounds 5 oz set up as such and balances on the recoil lug. Perfect!

Here it is wearing a different scope:

Anybody who seriously concerns themselves with the adequacy of a Big 7mm for anything we hunt here short of brown bear, is a dufus. They are mostly making shidt up. Crunch! Nite-nite!

Mine wears the same stock in standard fill.

Straight UBER.

I tried posting some pics but was unsuccessful , it looks like the rest of the lvsf rifles except new. I had to trade my lvsf 22-250 for it, that's the only caliber my buddy needed for his lvsf collection. He had an extra 243. He has slowly converted me from my browning rifles to Remington. I will put a Swaro Z3 3-9 on her. If I put a Swaro on a rifle it becomes family heir loom.

Ingwe: I will keep an eye out for a 204 take off barrel, my lvsf buddy said he didn't know of any but would also be on lookout for one.

Got to agree with Travis. I like mine (223) much better now that I have put it in a Remington synthetic sporter stock. It is much easier to carry and handle. Butch

Are the LVSF barrels 26"?

And by the way a very nice picture.

No. VSSF barrels are heavy and 26 inches. the "L" in LVSF stands for 'Light" grin and usually 22 inches IIRC.

Some dude tried to sell me a VSSF barrel when I asked for a LVSF barrel.....it aint rocket surgery.

I have a LVSF for my boy and its in a Mcmillan stock. But I did but a LVSF stock and have it on another rifle in .308. I like it ok and they are a cheap alternative to the Remmy stocks without shelling $400 more for a McM stock. The LVSF stocks take some getting used to tho.

The LVSF take-off I have is a LOT stiffer in the forearm than every B&C sporter I've ever seen, as I'm assuming B&C made the LVSF. I don't know if it has more glass or if its the shape.

If you want a LVSF in .222 just buy a fluted Rem mag contour barrel
Thats what I did to build my .22-250AI mine is a Douglas barrel and it even has the right twist 1:8
Drop it in a McMillan stock and you are rolling in high cotton

So, how do you get your web paint to do what it did on that bottom stock?

That is an extremely good looking rifle. If someone made an internal magazine that would feed a 223 AI with long seated 75 Amax's, I would be all set for a 2015 build.

Are you guys sanding the pressure point off your B&C LVSF stocks? Bedding? Anything else?

Trying to figure out if I should have it worked over or buy a McMillan.
