Cast and sintered are not the same. Sintered is not something I'd want in that role. Investment cast can be very good, but there is a limit to what the basic material used can do.

Complete failure.
Maybe you can get a brand new set of current bases and rings out them, they're pretty good folks. Pack up both rings and the bases noting what you need to fit.... Firearm, scope tube and objective size.
