So far, no big-uns on the trail cam. A couple that may be real nice in 1-2 years. Then this guy showed up. Last year I saw him, wide but short tines. I had hoped for better this year, but now I think he may be a cull. and yes, since taking the photo, I have learned how to set the day & time, on the camera

I haven't shot a mature buck in a couple of years but I've got a 6 point running around here that I'll probably cull if I see him.
Good body size but he's had this little spindly funky looking rack for the last couple of years and I don't think that's going to change.
I think the rest of him will look OK in the freezer though.

I got what we call the spikealope buck on my place. He has been the same for two years. His rack looks just like a pronghorn. Straight up 8-10 inches. No brow tines, no nothing. He has a bounty on him for the guys who hunt my place. He is a big bodies deer and will provide a lot of meat.

I shot this lopsided scrub buck this morning, and it shows no sign of a horn ever being on the right side.I shot one in the same spot last year that had 3 on one side, and a thick stub about 4 inch's that flared at the end like a battered pipe.I just assumed it was broken while in velvet, but now I think it may be bad genes, but I don't really know.
