I would give a 220 swift a look if you reload, Or a 22-250 if shooting factory.

Any of those three would work. I also use all three. And like them all. I prfer the 204 and 223, they are a little quiter to shoot, easier on my ears.

However the old 22-250 is pretty hard to beat. Especially if you go 22-250 AI.

The 6mm's work well for killing at long distance, but I feel not needed or too much for under 300-400 yards. YMMV

My Swift was my coyote gun for years, till the hogs moved into my area. The 55 gr Nosler BT just wouldn't knock down a big pig fast enough, and it got to where I saw more pigs than Coyotes. I put the Swift up and got my next size up, which was my 260. Put 100 gr Nosler BT's in it and now the pigs go down fast. I probably would have gone to a 243 or 6mm if I had one, but the 260 works fine.

I'd shoot those new Nosler 64 gr Bonded Solid Base bullets if the Swift would stabilize them. They'll stabilize in warm weather, but not in cold, darn it.

For much of my shooting the .22-250, 22-250AI or Swift is my pick.. Most of my shots are NOT at called coyotes. So ranges usually start at 200 and go on.. In addition, I usually keep something much heavier in the pickup.. Today it was my old 25-06.. Last week it was the .270.. Built a 7mm Wea. for coyotes, haven't used it in several years, but it works fine.. These heavier rifles are for very long range or wind..
