This is one of the nicer ones I've owned. Both sides are equally figured.

Sweet!

Nice to find black pad guns with good wood smile

I won (or more accurately, paid a lot for) an auction for some Bee brass, so at least I can try out the .218.

1976 200th year No.1B 270 Red Pad with 14 rounds up the spout that I bought here yesterday for less than a new one.

This is #7 with 3-4X wood No 1s and one tang safe 77 270 3X fiddleback.

Really?

I went back and checked the classifieds and found only a Ruger No.1 in .30-06 for sale.

Oh,and and Ruger No.1 fore-end.

Some beautiful wood here.. In the 80's I bought sight unseen a 6mm # 1... It was awesome!! I kept it for several years then traded it or sold it.. In those years, money was tight, and if I wanted something I usually made a trade or sold something.. STUPID MOVE.. Nice wood is tough to get...

Really, I guess you didn't look close enough. No I won't give you link to it unless you give me the link to the AH fore-end that I must have missed.

Being a gentleman, I'm sure you'll be happy to do that.

Best to you and yours, Larry

If you want an extra special No. 1 you have to go to a specialist. They are not cheap, but not that much more than the typical new black pad.

Hmm the 30-06 is a barrel not a whole gun and the fore-end does not exist within the last three days.

No suprises here.

This is what you wrote. I went back and looked for a Ruger No.1B "1976 200th year red pad .270" and there was NONE! I went over a 24 hour period in the classifieds and there was nothing.

So,if you bought here "yesterday" where is the ad?

Why is not in the classified, cause I looked for it?

Did you really buy it or just "copy & pasted" a pic from somewhere else and claim it as your own?

So,where did you get this Ruger No.1?

And I really doubt you even own it,as in the past you use pics from other sites as your own.

Also, how can a single shot have 14 rds "up the spout?" crazy

Also,I told what I found,one ad for a Ruger No.1 .30-06 and another for a Ruger No.1 fore-end.
