This stuff actually works!

Went out with my Dad yesterday for the last weekend of rifle here in Kansas. Sat in some timber till about dark and decided to take a look at a cut/plowed bean field before we left. Just sat down on the edge and spied a buck on the far edge. Lasered at 384 yds. Checked the tape on the stock, dialed for 400 yds (7.25 MOA), rested across the pack, steadied on the chest and squeezed a round off.

At the shot, the deer jumped and ran down the field edge and turned into the woods. After a long trek across the muddy field I ducked into the timber and found the buck, a nice little 8-point, just inside the edge about five yards. Perfect lung shot behind the shoulder. I was so happy!

Dad held the light and I gutless cleaned it so we could pack it back to the truck.

I have been doing some dialing and practice out to 400 yds. Just so happened this worked out perfect. I'm hooked...

Congratulations, but it's an addiction!

Congrats! It is rather addicting when a set up and shot works well. I was out playing with my new HD5 LTT this morning and was very impressed!

Now that was funny smile

Also tagging this so I can "borrow" your load. I've got the same rifle and want to use the same bullet. Seems to be a good combo.

My guide is nearing the end of his hunting career.

Although the pack back to the truck was almost too much for him, I'm glad he was here for this one.
