For the last 3 days, my son and I have been getting ready to try and catch a few coyotes, bobcats, and hogs. It rained all day Thurs and Fri, so we took off the the trapping supply store, spent my allowance by buying materials to repair traps, rig traps, and make snares.

Thurs nite we made 66 snares and then got up Fri. and made anchors for them.

Called a friend and he gave me 8 or 9 sucker rods to make stakes and drags from.

Got up this morning adjusted traps, changed out pans, etc., fired up the pots, dyed and waxed traps.

Dont have too much more to do and I'll be ready to set out traps. I always wait until deer season is over, so I wont mess up hunting. The landowners kinda appreciate that.

Well, I'm tired, think I'll watch a little football, if there is any on tv.

I punched out 10 footholds and 8 dps with a 4 yro and 2 yro in tow, between breakfast and lunch. Looking forward to the first check with them tomorrow. Probably get another 10 footholds or so in the ground. If I catch anything I will post pics.

I am trapping a small military installation where I'm the only trapper. But a lot of others around from hunters to farmers to joggers. Only had one trap stolen there last year but I do everything I can to theft proof. Hunting has waned and the beans are in so I'm ready to go.
